Shared hosting and WordPress hosting describe different things. Shared hosting describes how resources are provided to accounts. WordPress hosting describes a service aimed at WordPress sites. A WordPress hosting plan can itself use shared infrastructure.
Ask what the WordPress service adds

A straightforward WordPress brochure site may work well on an appropriately configured shared plan. A shop or a site with a busy publishing workflow may benefit from more specific maintenance, testing and recovery services. A custom application may need access or runtimes that a tightly managed WordPress package does not offer.
For example, compare how each offer would recover an accidentally broken plugin while protecting new orders. That question reveals more about the service than simply comparing storage totals.
Identify what remains your responsibility
Someone still needs to maintain content, approve changes, control user access and manage integrations. Confirm where provider support ends and custom development begins. Keep your own record of the domain, service, renewal terms and recovery process.
